Engineering Professor Shane Farritor will teach an informal class for those who want to learn to program and use the Arduino microcontroller. This workshop is the 2nd of 3. In Session 2 we will connect an Arduino to a host computer so that it can be programmed. We’ll download the Arduino software and learn to make simple programs. We will talk through the Arduino development environment and programming syntax. We will talk about debugging programs and create 2-3 simple programs to control LEDs and use pushbutton switches as inputs. No specific supplies are required, but you may want to purchase your own Arduino (~$11) for use in future projects). Depending on the demand for the class it may also be useful to bring your own laptop.
