Nebraska Innovation Studio
Nebraska Innovation Studio presents its first exhibition, Green is Good at Being Weird, in the Cooper Foundation Makers Gallery on display from February 1st- March 4th. This exhibition showcases NIS member and UNL Masters of Fine Art candidate, Erin Schoenbeck. Her assemblages and groupings of different textures, colors and forms can be understood as talisman. Schoenbeck ‘s work emphasizes on man-made elements that envelope and create saturated inhabited spaces and seek to isolate strange and beautiful combinations of objects or materials that occur according to chance as often as intention. Schoenbeck is from Cortland, NE and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Northwest Missouri State University in 2013 and will defend her thesis work this spring 2016 semester.
The exhibition will be on view during NIS open hours Tuesday 2-6pm, Wednesday 4-10pm, Thursday 2-8pm and Friday Noon- 4pm. Please join us for a reception held on Saturday February 20th from 5:30- 7:30pm.
