SOLIDWORKS 1: The Basics RSVP Only Event

5:00 pm– 6:30 pm
Nebraska Innovation Studio
SOLIDWORKS is a very powerful tool for 3D modeling. The models that are created in it can be used for all types of making from laser cutting and 3D printing to the CNC Router and ceramics. This workshop will start from the beginning and will cover the basics. By the end of the workshop, you will be able to model basic shapes for 3D printing and visualization. The session will run 1.5 hours and you must RSVP for this workshop. There are 4 seats available and the cost for active NIS members will be $25.00 and for non-members, or inactive NIS members, it will be $30.00. NIS accepts most major credit cards, checks made out to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and NCards.

The Instructor for this workshop is Tom Frederick, a PhD. student in Mechanical Engineering. He has used SOLIDWORKS extensively over the past seven years during his research and side projects. He also has extensive experience with many different disciplines and can provide unique insight into how to best create new projects.
